Information Society makes synthpop with a strong 80’s influence, as can be heard in uptempo songs like ‘Baby Just Wants’, ‘I Love it When…’ and ‘I Like the Way You Werk It’. Information Society however doesn’t stay away from playing with modern sounds and rhythms too, so the music on Synthesizer should appeal to fans of modern electropop like Mesh or De/Vision as well. ‘More to This’ and ‘This way Tonight’ contain phat rhythms that come straight from R ‘n B music and this results in very fresh sounding danceable tunes. Also ‘Somnambulistic’ is a strong track and the vocals in ‘Burning Bridges’ somehow remind strongly of those of The Cruxshadows.. Musicwise it however is fully Information Society with it’s synthetic electropop.

i’m quite sure that you are going to drown in great reviews - this disc has become insidiously relevant to my life through the catchy music and amazing lyrics… it makes me walk down the halls of my head, examining past and present memories, and i am very sure that it’s destined to become one of my desert island discs.
i can’t thank everyone involved enough - i haven’t been this happy with a full-album purchase in a time outside my recent memory.
